Judd A. Austin, Jr. was born in Mexico City, Mexico. Judd graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University where he received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in 1983. He attended law school at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi, and was awarded his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1987. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1987, and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Judd served on the Board of Directors for the Dallas / Fort Worth Chapter of the Community Association Institute (CAI) from 1997 through 2003, has served as co-chair of CAI’s Texas Legislative Action Committee (TLAC) and is currently serving as a Delegate on TLAC. Judd is fluent in Spanish and principally practices Community Association Law.
