Vic Houston Henry was born in Big Spring, Texas. Vic graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1980, with Special Honors in Government. He was the recipient of a Presidential Scholarship and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Vic received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Georgetown cum laude in 1983. While in law school, he worked for the United States House of Representatives. Vic served as law clerk to United States District Judge Barefoot Sanders from 1983-1984. Vic was licensed by the State Bar of Texas and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas in 1983. He is also admitted to practice before United States District Courts in the Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas, the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, the District of Alabama, the District of Arizona, and the United States Court of Federal Claims. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fifth, Eighth, Eleventh, District of Columbia and Federal Circuits, as well as the United States Supreme Court. Vic is a member of American Bar Association, 1983 - present (Member, Litigation, Tort and Insurance Practice sections); a past Chairman of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers’ Federal Casenotes Committee, 1986 - 1987; a member of the Civil Justice Reform Act Advisory Committee, United States District Court, Northern District of Texas, 1992 - 1993; a Barrister in the Dallas Inn of Court, 1988 - 1991; a Chairman of the Small Firm Trial Practice Subcommittee of the American Bar Association Litigation Section, 1998-1999, 2004-5; a member of the Conference of Freight Counsel, 1995-present; and a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association. Vic practices principally in the areas of Transportation Law, and Products Liability and Mass Tort Defense.
