Claudia Zissman-Monzon
Overview
Claudia Zissman-Monzon is an associate serving in the Property Owners and Community Associations department of the firm. Claudia has experience representing various types of property owners and community associations throughout the state of Texas, including providing guidance to boards of directors and community managers in a range of matters such as the process and handling of covenant violations and covenant enforcement, assessment obligations (including addressing assessment delinquencies), as well as notice requirements and the handling of board and annual meetings for associations.
Claudia's focus is on property owners and community association governance, including reviewing, advising, and, if necessary, drafting and filing amendments to governing documents, analyzing and advising on governance issues, covenant interpretations as well as various contract review and negotiation. Claudia has also represented various property owners and community associations in the civil litigation process, from pre-suit investigations to court room representation through settlement.
Claudia was raised in Midland/Odessa, Texas. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Spanish at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. After graduating from TCU, she attended and received her law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. Claudia, who is fluent in Spanish, enjoys playing sand volleyball, running and spending time with friends and family in her free time.
